— What You Can Expect Being A Product Researcher —
[Page 5] Introduction – In this section, you will understand a bit more about who Erica Stone is, why she has created this eBook Guide and how you can benefit from this eBook Guide when you have an existing review site or that you have never written a product review before.
[Page 6] Overview – In this section she shares that the job of your review is not to sell the product but to help the consumer reach a yes/no buying decision. By the end of your review your reader should understand if this product is perfect for them or not.
[Page 7] Reviews Or Researchers – In this section she shares about how you should become a Product Researcher (one that verify and provide answers to questions that a buyer may have before they buy something) and not just a Product Reviewer (just copying what is written on Amazon) as well as how to add value to your Product Reviews. She also highlighted a Product Description of a Laser Printer on Amazon and what consumers will usually think about as they go through it. It is from this that you get to create an opportunity to step in and provide useful information!
[Page 9] How To Earn Year After Year – In this section she shares that most people would usually complain that being a Product Researcher means that there’s a lot of research work, an incredible amount of detail and questions that need to be looked into just for creating a review. She highlights that though there is indeed a lot of work to be done but you should consider the return of investment of your time, for example, you get to consistently earn an average of $2,500/year for four years for a single review that may takes you up to a week to complete! Lastly she highlights that there are a few areas that you need to look into to ensure that there is a market for buyers in the long run and your reviews will still be relevant.
[Page 11] Wish You Were This Guy? – In this short section she reviews an example of a product review site where the author is living his dreams and passion of pursuing his favorite sport and at the same time making a good living out from reviewing the various sports gadgets he bought through his affiliate commissions. This is the kind of lifestyle that Erica Stone would like you to have – you may start from reviewing products that you may not have physically bought, work towards owning any of them (if these are part of your wishlist) and improving your lifestyle through your earnings!
— The How-Tos —
[Page 12] The Review Objective – In this section, you get a 12-Pointer checklist that you can follow each time to ensure that your review is complete. Four of these pointers include (turn to this page for the full list after you have made your purchase):
- What will people want to use it for?
- Who should buy it?
- Who shouldn’t buy it (what should they buy instead?)
- Is the Price reasonable?
[Page 13] It Starts With An Outline – In this section, Erica Stone provides you with a 13-Pointer Outline that you can follow when it comes to writing your Review. One of the 13-Pointer includes Various Important Subheading which you need to replace with Features of the Product that Buyers are going to want to know about most before they buy. These Features are also things that the customers need to know before they buy even if they don’t realize they need to know it – knowing how and what to look for makes you stand out from those other Product Review Sites.
Using the examples of Laser Printers, Erica Stone gives an overview on how she approaches all the different types of Laser Printers found in the Amazon.com Marketplace to come out with a list of common features that customers would like to know. This takes a bit of work but once you have this outline done, creating your reviews for similar product range will be much straightforward!
Note: If this is the first time you are going through such exercise, it is worthwhile to spend more time and effort on it because it may or may not be that easy to source out those common features for products that you intend to review.
[Page 23] The Who, What, Where, When, How And Why – In this section, Erica Stone suggests that you use the Famous Who, What, Where, When, How and the Why Questions to help you to write your outline. Using the example of the Laser Printers, she provides a sample list of questions that you can ask yourself or what customers may ask and from that approach, you start to write!
On Page 25, she provides a little details on what you need to take note when it comes to highlighting the Pros, Cons, the Consumer Ratings as well as the Price.
On Page 27, she highlights the importance of writing a Good Introductory Paragraph and how it actually entice your visitor to continue reading the rest of your review. So if you feel that you have an issue in writing a good introduction, you can refer to the Bonus PDF by Bart Hennin that comes with your Purchase – “How To Produce KICKASS Reviews For ANY”.
